San Giovanni in Marignano, one of Italy’s most beautiful villages, is the natural gateway to the Conca Valley when heading inland from the coast. It is known as the Breadbasket of the Malatesta, given the fertility of its lands and the presence of over two hundred underground pits for storing wheat. It also boasts a fortification built by Filippo Brunelleschi and Leon Battista Alberti.
